In modern laboratories, ductless fume hoods have emerged as versatile and efficient alternatives to traditional ducted systems. They offer laboratories greater flexibility in workspace design and placement, eliminating the need for costly and space-consuming ductwork. Lab managers may have questions regarding how these systems effectively contain hazardous substances and ensure the safety of researchers and the surrounding environment.
During this Ask The Expert session, we will peel back the layers of ductless fume hoods, explaining how they comply with industry standards, when we should know if they are the right solution, and what typical applications we support. We ask that the audience engage and challenge us with their complex questions regarding some preconceived notions about ductless fume hoods.
We will also take the audience on a journey of how we believe labs should be designed by minimizing the capacity of HVAC while improving safety.
