Engineering researchers at the University of Arkansas have invented a novel electrical power converter system that simultaneously accepts power from a variety of energy sources and converts it for use in the electrical grid system.

The Tyson Family and Tyson Foods Inc. have made a substantial gift toward creating a first-of-its-kind agricultural research center in Arkansas – one of the most consequential gifts to advance water quality and sustainability research in the state's history.   

Both chemical and organic growers expressed bias for preferred method.

University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) researcher Vladimir Zharov, Ph.D., D.Sc., recently was awarded a  $1.5 million grant by the National Institutes of Health to investigate the use of nanoparticles in cancer diagnosis and treatment.

Discovery represents advance in understanding of conductive material.

Work will improve processors, drivers, controllers and other circuits.

Interdisciplinary team uses discrete differential geometry.

Surface modification allows cell to absorb more light.

Participation made possible by combination of NSF and industry funds.
