Thermo Fisher is proud to introduce the new Thermo Scientific™ TruScan™ G3 Handheld Raman Analyzer, offering next generation raw material identification for the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. This handheld, portable, user-friendly device allows operators with minimal training to quickly perform identity testing on incoming starting materials, verify in-process substances, and differentiate finished drug products to ensure process quality and audit readiness.
The TruScan G3 Handheld Raman Analyzer builds on the industry-leading Thermo Scientific TruScan RM Handheld Raman Analyzer to enable near real-time, non-destructive identification of a broad range of chemical compounds—even through common types of sealed packaging—eliminating the need for time-consuming laboratory testing. The latest iteration is packed with new features, including a built-in touchscreen display, improved sensor performance, updated compound libraries, an all-new immersion probe for in situ testing of solids and liquids, and improved connectivity and data compliance for seamless and secure back-up of valuable results, making it Thermo Fisher’s most intuitive and accessible handheld analyzer yet.
Xochitl Javier, Director of Product Management and Marketing at Thermo Fisher, commented: “As the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors continue to adopt portable Raman testing as the go-to technique for material identification, the all-new TruScan G3 Handheld Raman Analyzer builds on the legacy of its predecessor, allowing for quicker, easier, and more accurate incoming material verification testing. Having this technology can support time and cost savings for our customers and the wider global pharmaceutical community.”
