AMSBIO is pleased to announce the launch of Extragel, a like-for-like replacement for Matrigel™, GeltrexTM, and CultrexTM Basement Membrane Extract (BME).

Available ex-stock, with overnight shipment, Extragel is a reconstituted matrix hydrogel formed by basement membrane components extracted from mouse tumor tissues which are rich in extracellular matrix proteins. Designed to be used undiluted or diluted to a specific protein concentration, Extragel is proven to be a highly effective growth scaffold for in vivo xenograft generation, pluripotent stem cell maintenance/differentiation, angiogenesis, and advanced 3D culture applications. Extragel is composed of laminin, collagen IV, and heparan sulfate proteoglycans plus various growth factors including epidermal growth factor, platelet-derived growth factor, nerve growth factor, basic fibroblast growth factor (FGF-2), transforming growth factor-β, and insulin-like growth factor.

Formulated to be free of LDEV as well as mycotoxins including fungi, bacteria, and mycoplasma—researchers using Extragel matrix can generate optimized, gels in under 30 minutes at 37 °C. AMSBIO implements strict quality inspection to ensure unmatched product stability and high batch-to-batch consistency.
